Ravens' Pollard on Brady's slide: ‘That's bull crap'

FOXBORO -- Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard was upset with Tom Brady's first-half slide, following the Baltimore Ravens' AFC Championship win on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium.

Late in the second quarter, Brady ran down the left side of the field, and, like most quarterbacks would do, he slid to avoid the oncoming hit from Ed Reed.

But as Brady slid, his right leg came up, in what looked like an effort to protect himself, as Reed came running hard at him. Reed attempted to jump over Brady, but Brady's leg came up and kicked him. And Pollard took notice.

"You've got to keep them legs down," said Pollard. "You've go to keep the legs down. We all know and understand what's going on there. And as a quarterback, when you go to slide, we're taught . . . we can't do anything. When you come sliding, and your leg is up in the air trying to kick somebody, that's bull crap."
