The Patriots seemed to be looking their backfield of the future in the 2011 draft. They took Shane Vereen in the second round and Stevan Ridley in the third.
But it looks like they may be interested in at least one more back this year as Virginia Tech running back David Wilson is scheduled to make a visit to Foxboro.
At 5-foot-10, 206-pounds Wilson is one of the most athletic backs in this year's draft. Last year's ACC Player of the Year as a junior, he ran a 4.49 40-yard dash at the Combine. He also had a 41-inch vertical leap and a 132-inch broad jump.
