Patriots schedule unaffected by Sandy

Superstorm Sandy tore through the East Coast yesterday, leaving more than eight million homes and businesses without power and causing billions of dollars worth of damage.

The Patriots' facilities at Gillette Stadium were not significantly damaged, and their schedule has not been altered by the storm, Bill Belichick said in a conference call Tuesday.

"So far it's normal," he said. "We'll see what we get here later in the week relative to practice on Thursday. We've been inside the protected walls of the stadium today. Don't know how good or bad it is out there. But it's been a normal day for us inside these protected walls."

Sandy did her best to mess with the Patriots schedule as they prepared to fly home from London on Monday. The team had been scheduled to travel back to Boston at noon London time but bumped up its flight to beat the storm before it touched down in Boston.
