FOXBORO -- New England released OL Kyle Hix Monday evening.
The former Longhorn was signed July 27 as a rookie free agent. He was placed on IR little over a week later.
Hix couldn't make much of a case for himself in 2012 either; he missed nine practices during training camp with a shoulder injury.
