Patriots bring in QB Kafka for workout

The Patriots raised a few eyebrows when they released backup quarterback Brian Hoyer, leaving the Patriots with two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster. They worked out another today when they brought in Mike Kafka, who was recently released by the Eagles.

CBSSports.com's Jason LaCanfora was the first to report the workout.

Kafka was taken in the fourth round of the 2010 draft out of Northwestern. The Eagles will go with veteran quarterback Trent Edwards and rookie Nick Foles as Mike Vick's backups.
