PFT: Winslow to work out for Patriots

Share

The Patriots never met a tight end they didn't like.

OK, that's not completely true. But they sure to love them some tight ends. Kellen Winslow is a tight end, and a fairly accomplished one at that. Recently cut by the Seahawks, he will work out with the Patriots, according to Pro Football Talk.

From PFT:
If signed, Winslow would join a group of tight ends that includes Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, and Visanthe Shiancoe. Then theres Jake Ballard, whom the Pats claimed on waivers and will carry on injured reserve.

Theres no indication Winslow, who was cut Saturday by the Seahawks, will be offered a contract. If he is, its more proof of the extent to which the Pats are transforming NFL offense with big guys who can run and catch.
