Nix hopes Gilmore can handle Pats TEs

The Bills drafted cornerback Stephon Gilmore at No. 10 overall because he was one of the best available at the position.

But stock in the 6-1, 190-pound back was also driven up in Buffalo specifically because of two Patriots: Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.

We would like to be able to match up against those two guys, GM Buddy Nix said Monday on WGR Sportsradio 550.Even though youre not as big as they are these guys with speed and theyre big enough that they cant knock them around and push them away from them. Its a lot harder for them against these bigger corners. Yes, we think he can do that.

New England's tight end tandem lit up the Bills during 2011's regular season. Hernandez missed the Week 3 match up because of an earlier left MCL sprain, but Gronkowski managed fine for 108 yards and two touchdowns on eight catches. In Week 17, with Hernandez back, the pair combined for 246 yards and three TDs on 15 grabs.
