FOXBORO -- The Patriots got back to business with a shorts and shells practice on the lower fields Wednesday.
Not spotted during media access: Linebacker Jerod Mayo and defensive lineman Trevor Scott. Mayo was injured in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Jets. He did come back into the game, however. Scott also got hurt last weekend, injuring his hamstring on a punt return.
The trio of linebacker Tracy White (foot), running back Brandon Bolden (knee), and safety Steve Gregory (hip) is still absent in toto.
Cornerback Ras-I Dowling, who was not seen at Tuesday's walk-through, missed another day.
Visanthe Shiancoe was outside with the team per yesterday's activation off short-term injured reserve. The tight end spoke briefly in the locker room Wednesday morning, saying "I'm excited, but I'll be even more excited to play. I can't wait for that."
