Mankins absent from practice; Welker, Connolly return

FOXBORO -- Logan Mankins was the only Patriot not spotted at the beginning of Friday's practice. The left guard is dealing with a myriad of injuries, including calf and ankle.
Receiver Wes Welker (ankle) and guard Dan Connolly (back), both out Wednesday and Thursday, returned today.
Aaron Hernandez was present for the third straight day. It's been difficult to predict the tight end's game status off practice, however, as he has participated during the week's workouts only to be inactive on Sunday.
New England held its final session of the week on the Gillette Stadium turf. The team will take on Indianapolis on Sunday at 4:25 PM. Keep a look out later for the full participation report.
