But the recently retired Patriots left tackle says he's creeping closer to opining on the tube this season for ESPN.

Im working with ESPN right now trying to finalize a contract, Light told Tom Archdeacon of the Dayton Daily News. I want to see how that goes. Football has been a big part of my life - for the majority of my life - and the TV stuff would help me keep one foot in the door of that world and have some fun with it, too.
Other outlets also had interest in Light who, I've been told, was hoping to find a role that featured his slightly skewed sense of humor as opposed to X-ing and O-ing at a desk.
