Law, Brown: Patriots energy underwhelming

The Patriots beat the Jaguars on Sunday, but it wasn't in the way people thought it would be. Jacksonville marched down for a touchdown on its opening possession, and New England looked shell shocked.

Eventually, the Patriots woke up just enough to overcome the early deficit and eek out a win, 23-16.

"They'll take it," Ty Law said on CSNNE's Postgame Live. "We were all wrong. We thought it would be no game, a blowout, so big ups to Jacksonville for coming out, they played a good game, but they didn't take advantage of the lack of energy the Patriots played with. They could have took this game and actually won the football game, so the Patriots stayed in there, they hung in there and won the football game. That's all you can say."

Troy Brown echoed what Law said, joking that the team bus wasn't full upon arrival to the stadium.

"The Patriots definitely had a few guys who missed the bus today," Brown said. "They didn't all show up to play on time."

"I expected to see a little bit more energy from them, Ty, being that this was an important game and they still have a chance to greet a bye, especially now with I think Houston still on the ropes, they are playing for something."
