Hernandez happy at Addazio's appointment to BC

FOXBORO -- Steve Addazio couldn't be happier to be the new football coach at Boston College. Named to the position December 6, he already knows how he wants to turn the recently struggling (21-29-0 between 2009-2012) Eagles program around.
"I want to bring a real sense of toughness and passion for the game. I want a team that when they look at that field you know that they love ball, they go hard, they care about each other and they respect it," Addazio said on the Tim Brando show. "It's really a privilege and not a right."
Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez isn't surprise in the least.
The former Gator played under the new BC coach when Addazio was Florida's offensive coordinator in 2009. From what Hernandez said in New England's locker room Friday, the Eagles are in good hands.
"It was fun playing for him. I'm happy for him that he's at Boston College -- dream job for him.
"He's very passionate; into every practice, every down. He's a great coach."
