Gronk to NECN: Replacement refs' mistakes speak for themselves

Share

Rob Gronkowski is one of those people who feels that nothing more than needs to be said about the National Football League's replacement referees. Not after Monday night's controversial ending to the Green Bay-Seattle game.
"I don't even gotta say anything," Gronk offered Tuesday in an exclusive interview with New England Cable News' Justin Michaels prior to the debut of his 'Gronk Flakes' cereal, which will be sold at Stop & Shop stories throughout New England."I mean, you're seeing all the reactions by the fans out there, by the Green Bay players, by other players even watching the game."
The Patriots had their own issues with the refs Sunday night -- as have many other teams during the first three weeks of the season. Gronkowski wouldn't talk specifics, but his best-case scenario?
"Obviously have the regular refs from the beginning."
Despite the controversy, Gronkowski is focusing on business as usual.
"It's not affecting my practice time, it's not affecting what I'm doing during the week, so you just gotta control the factors you can control and that's all you can worry about."
