FOXBORO -- Steve Gregory thought of all the images he's seen in the past three days and shook his head in disbelief.
"To see the city like that all under water? It's just crazy," he said. "I've never seen anything like that."
Gregory grew up in Staten Island, NY and said that his family members were some of the lucky ones whose lives weren't completely shaken by Sandy, the super storm that swept through the Northeast and knocked out the power throughout many of New York City's neighborhoods.

"My family's all safe," Gregory said. "There's a lot of chaos going on down there. But as far as my family goes, everyone's safe. They were without power for a little while but that's all back now."
Gregory said there was some flooding in his old neighborhood and that there's still a lot of homes without power in Staten Island. But, thankfully, his family lives on high ground and avoided any significant damage.
Gregory is a proud New Yorker. His father, also named Steve, is a retired New York City police officer who was at Ground Zero during September 11, 2001. He saw the city bounce back from that tragedy, and he knows it will rebound from this.
"The city will regroup," Gregory said. "They've been through some tough times down there in New York City. It's a lot of devastation, but as time goes on, they'll rebuild and get things back in order."
