Curran: San Francisco loss an ‘aberration'

The Patriots almostalmost - had a comeback win for the ages, but ultimately came up short in the end against the 49ers. Hey, that's what happens when you go down 31-3 to a Super-Bowl contending team.

But is this a "step back"? Mike Giardi poses the question for Tom E. Curran  to discuss.

"Not a big step back. I mean, it's not what you're looking for, but I think that everything they did was correctable," Curran said.

When the Patriots beat the Rams, it looked like they played too good to be truebased on their past play. Now, in the opposite way, the loss to San Fran looks the same way.

"I think San Francisco is an aberration relative to what we've seen over the last two months, and I would presume that that aberration would be exorcised over the next two weeks," Curran said.

Now, the Patriots could be well on their way to a game in Wild Card Weekend ,and if they win, a game in Denver against Peyton Manning and the Broncos.

Curran and Giardi have more on that.
