Curran: Patriots need up-tempo offense to beat Texans

Much has been made of the Texans' pass rush, and rightfully so.

Led by J.J. Watt, the Texans have one of the more physical defensive lines in the NFL, and will be on the loose Monday night in New England.

But CSNNE.com Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran tells Mike Felger on Sports Sunday that if the Patriots hurry things up, they may tire out the Texans', preventing them from being as aggressive as a Wade Phillips-coached team usually is.

"Mike, when you and I were on the beat together, we saw it so many times. Whether it was Wade Phillips in San Diego, whether it was Wade Phillips in Buffalo, all the way through, Denver. He attacks, he attacks, he attacks. The best way to neutralize that is go upspeed, ratchet it up, go fast on them, and you're able to get them in a situation where J.J. Watt and company start huffing for air."
