Brady: Offensive explosion made for ‘fun' day in UK

Tom Brady met the media with a cheeky little smile at Sunday's press conference in London.
"It was a fun day. It was a fun day for us offensively," the quarterback said.

The Patriots demolished St. Louis, 45-7, at Wembley Stadium. They scored on seven of 10 total series, including five straight touchdown drives.
"This is a great venue, this is a beautiful stadium. I know how historical it is and it's a great atmosphere for football. I hope they enjoyed the game today, all the fans. I know it got out of hand there" Brady paused here for another smile. "But that's how the Patriots liked it. So it was a fun game for us."
You know it's a good night when he can spend the last eight minutes on the sidelines. Backup quarterback Ryan Mallett came in for the final two drives, with the last being three snaps down to one knee.
Brady finished the night completing 23-of-35 throws for 304 yards and four touchdowns. It was his 50th career game of 300-plus yards passing.
"It feels good," he said of the resounding win. "We've been close a few times but haven't closed the deal. We're playing a team today that beat the two teams that we lost to, so we knew it would be a challenge. It certainly was. They got out to a good start but we countered and never really looked back."
Patriots rushers added 152 yards of offense on the ground. With the 473 total on Sunday, New England made it 17 consecutive games with more than 350 yards. The previous record of 16, coincidentally enough, was a Rams record set between 1999-2000.
All the numbers seem to showcase just how good the 5-3 Patriots can be. But Brady was cautious in his cheer. It's on New England to continue finding wins at the end of all these offensive explosions.
"Coach Bill Belichick always says football season doesn't start until after Thanksgiving and it's not even Halloween yet. There's a lot of football that needs to be played. There's a lot of teams that are going to really start making improvements; there are going to be teams that go the other way.
"I hope we're one of those teams that continues to get better and uses the games they've played you learn from those and try to make your improvements there and move on from the bad things and get to the stuff that's working."
