Brady, Gonzalez are highest paid Boston athletes

Sports Illustrated released it list of the 50 highest-earning American athletes today, and Boston was well represented as five athletes from three Boston teams made the cut.

The Boston athletes represented on SI's list were Adrian Gonzalez (who ranked 25th overall), Tom Brady (26), Kevin Garnett (27), Carl Crawford (t-36), and Josh Beckett (44).

Gonzalez, who earned Boston's top spot, reportedly earned 22,357,142 while Brady and Garnett weren't far behind, bringing home 22,250,000 and 22,103,870 respectively.

Boston tied with Los Angeles -- Kobe Bryant (4), Vernon Wells (17), Albert Pujols (t-36), Chris Paul (40) and Torii Hunter (41) -- for the city with the second most representatives on the list.

The only city to have more representatives was New York, with Alex Rodriguez (6), Derek Jeter (9), Carmelo Anthony (15), C.C. Sabathia (20), Mark Teixeira (21), Amare Stoudemire (24) and Eli Manning (31).
