Though the Patriots traded for cornerback Aqib Talib last Thursday, the team's bye week made coaches unavailable for comment until today.
But even during their conference call at noon, nobody said much.
"Right now our focus is really on the Bills, and the players that will be preparing for the game with the team, and the players that are here at this time," said head coach Bill Belichick. "We'll take that as it comes. When he gets here we'll deal with that."

Talib is still working on a four-game suspension, handed down October 13 while he was with Tampa Bay. New England's game against the Bills this Sunday will mark the final game of that ban. In the meantime, Talib is not allowed to set foot on any team facilities.
Belichick was asked when, exactly, his new player can join the team.
"When the league allows him to," was the answer.
The coach's scouting report on Talib was likewise brief.
"I think he's a good player."
Belichick did add that any draft research the team did on Talib back in 2008 could have factored into last week's decision some four years later. Every bit of information on the former first-round pick, from every different source, creates a larger composite that Belichick and his staff boils down into vitals.
But the sharing of that information will have to wait.
I think were obviously going to focus on Buffalo and whos on the team right now," defensive coordinator Matt Patricia echoed. "But hes a good player and when we do get a chance to work with him, well address those issues at the time."
