The Jets beat Miami to improve to 2-1; the Dolphins drop to 1-2. Buffalo is now also 2-1 after beating Cleveland 24-14. New England is the last left to play.

Miami just couldn't close out.
The Dolphins were up 17-13 with just over five-and-a-half minutes left to play. It took Mark Sanchez only two-and-a-half to drive his team into the end zone and go ahead 20-17.
Miami pushed back -- just enough. With 21 seconds left in regulation, the team got within 23-yards. The game-tying field goal was good.

Again, the Dolphins had a chance when New York failed to capitalize on its first drive. Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill again tried to get his squad within range. Miami kicker David Carpenter teed off from 48-yards out. The game-winner was placed on his foot and it sailed up, up, and wide left.
Thanks to one 38-yard connection between Sanchez and Santonio Holmes, the Jets set Nick Folk up with a 33-yard field goal easily enough. But the kick was blocked! A fight to the finish!
Not quite. Officials killed the play on the snap because Miami had called a timeout. Folk made his second attempt.

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis went down with a knee injury in the third quarter. According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, an ACL tear is feared. Miami running back Reggie Bush was also sidelined when he took a helmet to the knee in the second quarter.
The Patriots will see the Jets in Week 7, on October 21 at Gillette Stadium. The first of two games between New England and Miami doesn't happen until December 2 at Sun Life Stadium.
