MIAMI Speaking to the media before Game 5, Doc Rivers put an official end to Shaquille ONeals latest comeback attempt. ONeal will be inactive for the elimination game, as he continues to struggle through pain in his right Achilles.

No Shaq, Rivers said. Thats for sure.

Rajon Rondo, on the other hand, will play, although Rivers said that, despite having yesterday off, his point guard is actually feeling a little worse than he did on Monday.

(Rondos) not much better, he said. In some ways, I think hes actually in more pain, but I think he at least has an idea on how to deal with it more. Were hoping that he can give us something, and if he cant were going to have to make a decision on the floor.

Without ONeal in the rotation, dont be surprised if Nenad Krstic, who hasnt played since Game 2, sees some time, but that may depend on Kevin Garnett.

Yeah, perhaps, Rivers said about the possibility of using Krstic. Although we may shorten the rotation more. Youre always walking a fine line with (Garnett) because hes the only one whos been on a minute restriction for the last two years, but if we can keep his minutes to where hes still effective, then we may shorten it. If not, youll see Nenad out there.
