Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! reports that the deal that shipped Kendrick Perkins out of Boston is taking its toll on the Celtics locker room.
"I know some of the veterans were upset," Wojnarowski told Comcast SportsNet's Nicole Zaloumis. "Perkins was a big part of their identity and who they were as a team.
Wojnarowski added, "I think the Celtics veterans were shocked. It's a natural reaction. He's also liked personally. That's a very tight group of guys."
Questions will linger about this deal all season, and they won't exclusively come from the players, explained Wojnarowski.
"Until they win without Perk in the playoffs and show that they can match up with the big, physical teams, questions will be out there about this deal," Wojnarowski, said.
