PHOENIX If the Boston Celtics plan to rally from a first half deficit against the Phoenix Suns, they'll have to do it without Doc Rivers.
Rivers, visibly upset about a slew of questionable and non-calls, voiced his displeasure at official Steve Javie.
Javie heard him out, and gave him a technical for his troubles.
That's when things got interesting.
Javie went to the scorer's table to alert them of the technical foul against Rivers.
As he turned around, Rivers wasn't done - well, actually, he was.
That's when Javie had apparently heard enough from Rivers, and hit him with another technical foul which is an automatic ejection.
Boston struggled even before Rivers was tossed.
At the half, the C's trailed 49-35.
