BOSTON -- Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli confirmed Saturday that Nathan Horton was fined by the National Hockey League for an incident with a fan in Tampa after Game 6 of the Bruins-Lightning series.
According to a league source, Horton was fined the maximum 2,500 allowable by theleagueunder NHL disciplinary guidelines.

"You know, thats an unfortunate incident," said Chiarelli on Saturday. "I didnt really focus on it and I didnt talk to Nathan about it. He has been fined. So that issue has been resolved. Those are the types of things that when they happen you get the call and then you deal with them. To fret about them before they happen is I think a bit of a waste of energy."Horton allegedly squirted water and then threw a water bottle at a fan after Game 6. Although previous similar actions have earned suspensions, Horton avoided that kind of supplemental discipline.
