BOSTON Here are five thoughts from the third period with the Bruins taking a win over the Senators by a 3-1 score after 60 minutes of play at TD Garden.1)Great Dominik Hasek-style stop on an Erik Condra breakaway for Tim Thomas, who has made 30 stops on the day and now holds the NHL record for single-season save percentage with a .9381 mark.2)Always sorry to see NHL coaches get fired, but I cant see Cory Clouston making much besides the plane ride back to Ottawa as the head coach of the Senators.3)A game-high seven shots on net for Zdeno Chara, who has put on a strong second half run for the Norris Trophy. He should finish in the top three again this season for sure.4)The Bruins need a lot more of that kind of offense from Rich Peverley after his sweet little move through the Ottawa defense that ended with a backhanded goal through the slot. That score capped off the win for the Bruins, and gave Peverley his 40th point of the season.5)Bruins look as ready for the playoffs as theyre ever going to be.
