CSNNE.comUNIONDALE, N.Y. Here are five thoughts from the second period with the Bruins leading the New York Islanders by a 2-1 score at Nassau Coliseum after 40 minutes of play.1)The Bruins finally got a 5-on-3 to snap the power play drought at 0-for-21. It was a sweet little seam pass from David Krejci to Zdeno Chara at the top of the right faceoff circle, and Chara ripped away for his 12th goal of the season. More boos when it was announced as Charas goal. 2)What a player Matt Moulson has turned into over the last couple of seasons. Moulson created New Yorks goal at the end of the second period when he picked Patrice Bergerons pocket, hit Jon Tavares with a pass and then scored goal no. 29 of the season after he crashed the front of the net.3)The Bruins have won 29 of 43 face-offs against the Islanders, and Patrice Bergeron, Chris Kelly and Gregory Campbell have all dominated in the dot area tonight.4)Tomas Kaberle looked a little more relaxed after the power play finally produced on a 5-on-3, and picked up his second assist as a member of the Bruins on Zdeno Charas power play strike.5)Two assists for David Krejci as the Bs top line continues to pile up the points over the last few weeks, and appears to be exactly the kind of unit that the Bruins will be able to hang their hats on in the playoffs. That line has 39 points in their last 11 games, and has been a dominant force throughout that time.
