CSNNE.comNEWARK Here are five thoughts from the second period with the Bruins and Devils tied at 1-1 at the Prudential Center following 40 minutes of irrelevant hockey.1)Johnny Boychuk was a bit shaken up after a collision with Milan Lucic behind the Devils net in the second period, but appeared to shake it off later in the period. Thats the last thing the Bruins need with Game 1 against the Habs staring them in the face on Thursday night.2)Bruins were outshot 10-1 in the second period. Looks like the compete level is going into hiatus until they see a Canadiens sweater.3)Four shots on net apiece for Rod Pelley and David Clarkson after two periods of play. I never thought Id see that sentence never mind type it.4)Tuukka Rask with 23 saves over the first two periods and had a couple of magnificent double-stack jobs amid some pretty heavy pressure from New Jersey in the second period. Will be interesting to see if Rask gets any action during the postseason run by the Bs.5)Rich Peverley leads the Bruins with two hits. I never thought Id type that sentence either.
