Bruins' Thomas wins two ESPY awards

The hits just keep on coming for Tim Thomas.

The Bruins' goalie was honored with two ESPY awards -- for best championship performance and best NHL player -- at ESPN's annual awards show Wednesday night in Los Angeles. The hardware comes in addition to the NHL awards he won as the league's best goalie (Vezina Trophy) and playoff MVP (Conn Smythe Trophy) as he helped lead the Bruins to the Stanley Cup championship.

"It's been a month, but it still really hasn't sunk in what it means to the city and whole New England area," Thomas said.

The Bruins won the ESPY for best team, and Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlick was honored for best comeback.
