The Bruins are not expecting Marc Savard to play next season, and his career may be over, according to the Boston Globe.
Savard is still experiencing post-concussion syndrome more than seven months after his final game on Jan. 22.
Marc Savard wont play this year, Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli told the Globe. Nothing has changed in our monitoring. Hell be examined and hell be declared unfit to play.
Chiarelli added, Based on what I see, what I hear, what I read, and what Im told, its very unlikely Marc will play again. Now, knowing the uncertainty of this injury, theres always a chance he could play. But based on what Im told, its very unlikely hell play. As an employer, I support him and hope he gets back to living a healthy life.
