Tim Thomas had 28 saves and nearly secured his eighth shutout of the season save for a Curtis Glencross power play score late in the third period. The 36-year-old looked energetic and strong after taking a week to gather his energy while Tuukka Rask made a couple of starts in his stead, and Thomas was recovering from a bit of a head cold that had dogged him for much of February. Thomas had looked a tad slow and lethargic in losing consecutive starts against the Red Wings and Maple Leafs more than a week ago, but he looks like hes back in the Vezina zone again.
