Here's your wakeup call -- a combination of newsworthy and/or interesting tidbits -- for Monday, December 9:

BASEBALL

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

  • It'll be Florida State and Auburn in the last-ever BCS title game. (AP)

  • Here's the schedule for all 35 bowl games. Me, I'm counting the minutes to the S.D. County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. Or maybe the Beef 'O' Brady's St. Petersburg Bowl. (NBC's College Football Talk)

  • Now that Everett Golson's back, or almost back, maybe next year Notre Dame will make it to something bigger than the Pinstripe Bowl. (CSN Chicago)

GOLF

  • Sherwood hosted the World Challenge for the final time this weekend, and it certainly was an ignominious ending for Tiger Woods. Not so bad for Zach Johnson, though. (AP)

  • Lydia Ko wins for the first time as a professional, taking the Swinging Skirts World Ladies Masters -- that's right, the Swinging Skirts -- in Taipei and earning herself a $150,000 paycheck. Not bad for a 16-year-old, eh? (AP)
