DETROIT -- ESPN has waived its Sunday night exclusivity tonight, allowing the second game of the Red Sox-Tigers doubleheader to be televised by NESN in the New England area.

After Saturday's rainout, the Red Sox and Tigers scheduled a day-night, separate-admission doubleheader on Sunday, with the games starting at 1:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. The 1:05 p.m. was televised as scheduled.

However, because of ESPN's national Sunday night broadcast exclusivity agreement with Major League Baseball, the Sox-Tigers second game originally wasn't going to be televised. ESPN prohibits any game from being televised against its national broadcast, which Sunday night is the Reds-Braves game in Atlanta.

However, during the first game it was announced that ESPN waived its exclusivity and would allow the Red Sox-Tigers second game to be televised.
