Tonight's lineups: Red Sox vs. Rays

Share

BOSTON -- As expected, Hanley Ramirez is missing from the Red Sox' lineup as they prepare to host the Rays tonight in the second game of their three-game series.

Ramirez suffered a shoulder injury in the first inning Monday night and will be sidelined until Friday at the earliest . . . and potentially longer than that. With left-hander Drew Smyly on the mound for Tampa Bay, his cleanup spot in the batting order is being taken by Mike Napoli. His spot in left field will be filled by Allen Craig, who'll be in Napoli's customary No. 6 position in the order.

After one night off, rookie catcher Blake Swihart returns to the lineup. He'll bat ninth.
