BOSTON -- After his big performance on Saturday, David Ortiz is getting the day off -- although he will be available for pinch-hitting duties -- as the Red Sox complete their homestand with a final game against the Astros.
Travis Shaw, who moves over to first base as Hanley Ramirez takes over for Ortiz at designated hitter, will hit cleanup. Jackie Bradley Jr., elevated to the No. 2 spot on Saturday when Dustin Pedroia sat out, will hit sixth behind Ramirez.
