Talking points from the Red Sox' 3-2 walk-off win against the Baltimore Orioles:

STAR OF THE GAME: Xander Bogaerts

It certainly wasn't the hardest-hit ball certainly, but it was good enough - a bloop single into shallow right, enough to plate the winning run in a walk-off victory for the Sox.

HONORABLE MENTION: Red Sox bullpen

Three relievers combined to toss 3 1/3 inning of scoreless relief after Joe Kelly came out in the sixth inning.

GOAT OF THE GAME: Brian Matusz

Matusz faced six hitters and walked three, including Mike Napoli to lead off the ninth. Napoli then scored the winning run.

TURNING POINT:

Ryan Hanigan's two-run homer in the fifth was just the second hit for the Red Sox, but evened the score at 2-2.

BY THE NUMBERS: 3

Pablo Sandoval was hit by a pitch for the third time in his last three games played. Last year, he was hit just four times all season.
