Talking Points: Orioles 5, Red Sox 4

The talking points of the Red Sox' 5-4, 10 inning loss to the Orioles on Saturday:

STAR OF THE GAME: David Lough

Lough didn't get into the game until the eighth inning when he was inserted a pinch runner, but he made his presence felt in a big way in the bottom of the 10th, hammering a split-finger fastball from Koji Uehara into the right field seats for a game-winner.

HONORABLE MENTION: Jimmy Paredes

Paredes has feasted on Red Sox pitching the last 10 days and Saturday night was no different. He collected four hits, including a run-scoring double in the first and a tie-breaking homer in the fifth.

GOAT OF THE GAME: Koji Uehara

A night after saving the series opener for the Red Sox, the closer wasn't up to the task Saturday night, allowing the Orioles to tie the game in the 10th before yielding the game-winner to Lough.

TURNING POINT: Allen Craig made an ill-advised diving try of Adam Jones's sinking liner to open the 10th, but missed and the ball rolled past him for a leadoff triple.

BY THE NUMBERS: Pablo Sandoval went 0-for-3 from the right side and is now hitless hitting righthanded this season (0-for-16).
