Rich Hill was brilliant for the Red Sox, pitching a shutout in Friday’s 7-0 victory over the Orioles. Read the game story here.

STAR OF THE GAME: Rich Hill

Hill's remarkable late-season comeback continued, with another terrific start. He tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just one hit while striking out 10.

HONORABLE MENTION: David Ortiz

Ortiz had three doubles and knocked in three runs, as the RBI keep piling up as part of his strong second half.

GOAT OF THE GAME: Kevin Gausman

With no offensive support to speak of -- the Orioles collected just two hits -- Gausman kept his team in the game until the sixth, when it got away from him as the Red Sox added three runs to the two they already had.

TURNING POINT: Ortiz's second of three doubles served to double the Red Sox lead from 2-0 to 4-0 in the sixth inning.

BY THE NUMBERS: Xander Bogaerts (three hits) posted his 55th multi-hit game of the season, putting him in the top three in the American League.
