"The depth is people you've never heard of… They have taken a significant hit with their depth." - Dan Shaughnessy

The Red Sox have committed nine errors already this season. At this point in 2013, they only had two errors.

Is this something the Red Sox should be concerned about? Dan Shaughnessy believes the Red Sox' lineup depth is a contributing factor.

"The depth is people you've never heard of… Herrera, who you don't want to see out there." said Shaughnessy," They have taken a significant hit with their depth."

"They've had some pretty bad outfields given when you have Carp and Gomes in the corners, those kind of things hurt you." said Shaughnessy, "(When Victorino comes back) I think Bradley's going down (to Pawtucket)… They don't want to lose Carp's bat, and that's going to make the defensive issues stand out even more."
