Report: Ortiz retiring after 2016 season

David Ortiz's 20th MLB season will reportedly be his last.

The latest member of the 500 home run club will call it career after the 2016 MLB season, according to FOX's Ken Rosenthal.

Ortiz has spent the last 13 years of his career in Boston, becoming an instrumental figure in ending the Curse of the Bambino after 86 years and delivering three World Series to Boston.

Last season he hit .273 with 37 home runs and 108 RBI. He has a club option for the 2017 season.
