Red Sox – Orioles lineups: Bogaerts, Betts get night off

Share

The Red Sox and Orioles are back at it Wednesday night as the Sox try to salvage one game of the three-game series that wraps up tonight.

They'll have to do it without two key members of their lineup, Xander Bogaerts and Mookie Betts, who both have the night off to get some rest.

That puts Deven Marrero at shortstop and Jackie Bradley Jr. in center field.

Brock Holt gets the start in right field and leads off for the Sox.

David Ortiz bats cleanup as he looks for his 35th home run of the season. It would be his sixth career 35-homer season. His five such seasons are currently tied for the most in franchise history, along with Jimmie Foxx, Manny Ramirez, and Ted Williams.

Could it come against Orioles rookie Mike Wright? There's a good chance, anyways. The Sox have rocked rookie starters this year. In fact, the last 8 rookie starters facing the Red Sox have allowed 45 ER in 36.2 IP (11.05 ERA)

Here are the full lineups.
