Minihane would ‘completely understand' if Sox fire Farrell

The Boston Red Sox currently hold a 22-29 record which is second worst in the American League.

With his team scuffling as of late, many have started to wonder if John Farrell will lose his job before the end of the season.

"If they fired him tonight, I would completely understand it," said Kirk Minihane of WEEI on Arbella Early Edition. "It's been a year and about 50 games, right? They're 25 games under .500, the team has spent about $400 million putting this team together and they stink.

"At some point you have to say there's somebody managing this team. They've had 40 meetings, they go out and they don't play well, they don't play hard, some guys loaf. At some point you have to say, okay, maybe the manager's voice isn't working. I don't think that's really fair right now, but at some point that conversation has to start."
