On Sunday, the Red Sox once again failed to reach the .500 mark on the season.

The Baseball Show panel discussed why the Red Sox are having trouble reaching the elusive mark.

Lou Merloni acknowledged the team defense, but he says the offense is equally responsible.

"Situational hitting has been the other big reason." said Merloni, "It's really been atrocious . . . Little things, moving runners over, getting a guy in from third with less than two outs, putting bunts down. "
