The Baseball Show panel fielded a call about making a trade in the future.
Sean McAdam, Lou Merloni and Bob Neumeier believe they have the pieces to make a trade.
Merloni has his eyes on Giancarlo Stanton.
"The asking price might be too much,"said Merloni, "but that is the type of guy, young, mid-twenties, he's starting to get arbitration eligible. The Marlins, at some point, will look to deal him."
He also said the Red Sox farm system gives them an advantage over other teams when trying to acquire players.
"They have the system, as well, to get the player," said Merloni, "The Yankees could sign Stanton for whatever he wants. But do they have the minor league system that the Marlins are even interested? I don't think they do."
