As baseball prepares for the arrival of it's near commissioner, many people are discussing possible changes to the game.
On the Baseball Show, Lou Merloni discussed what changes he wants to see.
"I don't want to see them do too much," said Merloni. "Got to keep the strategy. All these ideas, you can only bring in so many pitchers, I don't like that. So many trips to the mound…"
Steve Buckley explains why sometimes the game's strategy causes adds more time.
"Here's the problem Lou," said Buckley. "Nine times out of ten the pitching coach is going out there to internationally delay the game. Because your starter is getting lit up, you got to get a guy up, the manager says, 'go out there and buy some time."
Bob Neumeier wants games to be shorter at any cost.
"Whatever needs to be done, do it." said Neumeier. "Just do it, as far as I'm concerned. The games are getting way, way out of hand."
