McAdam: Post All-Star break, Ortiz continues hot hitting

After struggling the first half of the season, David Ortiz has gone on a tear since the All-Star break, as he nears 500 career home runs. Sean McAdam and Lou Merloni joined Bob Neumeier on The Baseball Show to discuss Ortiz's incredible year with the Boston Red Sox.

“I think that David Ortiz probably could have set the single season home run mark with a great first half,” said McAdam.

“I understand the context; a lot of this is coming in so called ‘garbage time.’ But post All-Star break he’s slugging more than .700. Something’s happened with his swing and he is looking like he did two years ago.”
