McAdam: 'No obvious answer' to fix Sox struggles

Although Shane Victorino and Will Middlebrooks will be back in the fold soon,'s Sean McAdam believes there are "no obvious answers" in the organization to solve the problem. 

"I think the only way they go about  that is to package some of the young pitching," said McAdam. "and perhaps some of the left side of the infield prospects they have to get one of those big bats. But it's not going to be easy." 

Bob Neumeier wondered if the Sox could be patient and make a big free agent signing. McAdam doesn't see that as an option.

"Free agency is not the answer. Both because of the mistakes that they and other teams have made overpaying for past performance and the fact that most good teams do not allow their franchise players to get to free agency.
