Disgraced former National League MVP and PED denier-then-admitter Ryan Braun will face his first road crowd Friday since his suspension when the Brewers are the Red Sox's guests for the home opener at Fenway.
Expect a not-so-warm Boston welcome for Braun, who got a standing ovation from his hometown crowd in the opener in Milwaukee in his first game back.
On Arbella Early Edition, Trenni Kusnierek has renamed her usual "Get Off My Lawn" segment "Get Off My Braun", and she's taking exception to those who have gotten on Brew Crew fans for forgiving Braun.
"I don't think it's a big secret that I'm from Milwaukee, like [Michael] Felger. I'm a unabashed Brewers' fan...," Kusnierek said. "What is so wrong with being a Midwesterner who forgives people, who gives people second chances? Yes, Ryan Braun cheated. Yes, Ryan Braun lied, but he took the guy [drug sample collector Dino Laurenzi] out for dinner and Laurenzi fully accepted is apology. And let me tell you something, baseball fans, if one of your best players did it and you knew he would get you to the Promised Land over those hated St. Louis Cardinals, you would take him back, too."
