Now the Red Sox have rules…
Peter Gammons wrote that there was a stir in the Red Sox clubhouse concerning new rules that state players' kids can no longer be in the outfield during batting practice.
On Arbella Early Edition, Andy Gresh called out the veterans who were critical about the change..
"Those veterans, you need to find out who they are because you need to ask the question if they want to be here long-term," said Gresh. "If they're complaining about that…Guess what, there's no little Tanguays running around [Comcast SportsNet]."
Gary Tanguay believes the complaint isn't solely about the rule.
"This is an example of something larger going on," said Tanguay. "The veterans are losing control because there's a changing of the guard, and they don't like it."
