There has been a steady infusion of Cuban players over the past few years including Yoenis Cespedes, Jose Abreu, Yasiel Puig and others.
The next highly anticipated Cuban coming to the Major Leagues is outfielder Rusney Castillo, and he is reportedly "moving quickly" towards a decision.
Should the Red Sox make a run at the 27-year-old?
"Cuban baseball is the world's best baseball," said Steve Buckley. "These guys can play. The question with him is he's missed a lot of time. How much would that hurt him."
Michael Felger wants him in a Red Sox uniform.
"The time is right for the Red Sox to make this kind of move," said Felger. "They can play right out of the chute. The Red Sox dropped a ton of payroll with this recent trade deadline. They're way, way, way under the luxury tax going into next year. They need outfielders, they need power, they need players. They've got to go get this guy if he's any good, they've got to do it."
