Buchholz (right hamstring) improving in camp

FORT MYERS, Fla. Clay Buchholz is making progress in the right hamstring strain he suffered on Tuesday, the first day of workouts for pitchers and catchers.

He did get off the mound today, just with a catcher standing up, manager John Farrell said. But the most important thing is were able to keep his arm moving. He feels less and less restriction to that. At this point we project another couple of days before hed throw a bullpen in earnest. Hell go through some functional running tests on the field before we turn him lose completely. But a step in the right direction today.

I think his gut reaction was pretty fair and pretty accurate at the time and physically hes showing that. So its another good step for him today.
